Position Summary:

We are looking for Director, Brand and Digital Marketing in Batesville, IN.  As a member of the Marketing leadership team, this role is responsible for nurturing the company’s brand and leading the development of print, digital and event marketing campaigns that align with the Batesville brand, while meeting unique customer segment and organizational needs. The incumbent provides the creative vision for umbrella brand initiatives, industry trade shows and key events and oversees the development and execution of marketing materials, educational and promotional campaigns to support the launch of new products and services to our sales professionals and customers. The position is responsible for optimizing the company’s internal creative and digital resources and leveraging external agencies and experts, as needed, to meet defined marketing goals and ensure deliverables are aligned with the company’s brand standards. 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a corporate brand with the goal of maximizing exposure, profits and share of the market while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Works closely with the Marketing Strategy, Product Development and Strategic Communication teams to assist in the development and deployment of programs and tools for the direct sales force, inside sales, digital marketing, industry media, and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead a team responsible for providing creative services to the organization, including marketing content, digital marketing, and digital marketing services.
  • Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and provide career coaching, growth, and personal development of subordinates. 
  • Own and lead the company’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all communication channels, campaigns and assets.
  • Direct the development and execution of the company’s digital strategies including; digital marketing, social media and corporate website.
  • Oversee the development and execution of company events, including national and state-level trade shows and conventions to maximize the company’s investments, to drive, lead and create positive brand awareness.
  • Manage, and execute the strategy and visual elements of the brand and related visual communications.
  • Provide leadership for the company’s Living Memorial tree planting program, partnerships and promotion.
  • Assist the segment marketing, product and retailing teams with the execution of promotional strategies and tools and materials, as well as customer relations guidance for the sales force.
  • Manage trademarks and customer intellectual property
  • Lead initiatives that define and support the company brand and leadership position through ongoing advertising and marketing campaigns.
  • Achieve financial (budget) targets while achieving business objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees and oversees creative marketing, digital marketing, marketing operations and events and functional areas of the company. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.

 

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



Skills/Experience:
  • An analytic thinker with strong business acumen with an understanding of marketing, branding and positioning.
  • Must be able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to approach problems from a customer perspective.
  • Experience with business to business marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly creative leader with ability to push team to deliver outside of the norm.
  • Experience in showing, promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Experience with customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite, experience with email marketing platforms, project planning software, social media and blog platforms, and content management software preferred.
  • Experience managing people.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in marketing; and a minimum of 5 years related marketing, brand experience and/or digital; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in marketing and digital marketing.

 

Travel:
Employee must be able to travel 10% of the time.
