Position Summary

The Financial Analyst I will perform transactional tasks to help manage the day-to-day needs of the plant while using generally accepted accounting principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual Work In Progress (WIP), raw material and finished goods inventory and ensures proper controls and practices are in place.
  • Assists with internal control audits including account reconciliations, finished goods audits, payroll reconciliations, open purchase order reports, and other internal control audits as assigned.
  • Assists with Bill of Material analyses, product cost analyses and other cost accounting duties as assigned.
  • Completes Journal entries and supporting documentation as assigned
  • Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses.
  • Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, and other related procedures and controls.
  • Assists with annual budget preparation and reconciliation.
  • Ensures proper labor reporting.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
    Supervisory Responsibilities
    This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Accounting or finance with 2+ years of experience preferred. Would also consider an entry level candidate; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing accounting.
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills/Experience Preferred:
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic experience with ERP or Accounting Software (e.g. JDEdwards)
  • Basic experience with manufacturing accounting
Travel is not required.
