Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Design and facilitate a Hillenbrand Corporate Travel programs that ensures care of our Travelers and manages company liability wherever practical.

  • Define and execute a Strategy to negotiate, measure, and evaluate the performance of our Travel Management Company and associated travel suppliers.  This includes, potentially direct relationships with key Travel Supply such as airlines, hotels, car rental firms, online booking software, and other suppliers.

  • Benchmark and facilitate best practice across the enterprise through changes in pricing, policy, and demand management tools.

  • Analyze and monitor preferred Service Providers quality, cost and delivery of services in efforts to identify areas of opportunity while maximizing customer value.

  • Must have strong understanding and use various automated travel technology tools including travel management reporting tools and self- booking/expense tool, Concur.

  • Work closely with and assist with the maintenance of credit card administration program

  • Maintain, brand and improve the Hillenbrand Corporate Travel Internet site.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned

 
Job Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in business, operations management, supply chain management, or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis on operations management

  • Minimum of 5 years of related professional procurement experience and/or training; 5+ years preferred

  • Experience in the Industrial/Manufacturing Industry and understanding of Lean principals and methodologies

  • Strong procurement skillset in negotiation, problem solving, cross-functional leadership, multi-task project management, etc.

  • Experience administering Concur and Travel and Expense strongly preferred
  • 15-20% travel will be required
