Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing; and a minimum of five years related communications experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Experience
• Outstanding writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Deep knowledge of internal communications strategies and channels, including effective use of digital and video communications
• Ability to articulate concepts both verbally and in written word
• Recent (within the past two years) communication experience in working in external communications, specifically working with the press.
• For-profit business experience (public or private) – public or corporate center experience is preferred
• Relations manager who understands how to serve a client with proactive, high quality ideas and results
• Can adapt writing to fit the audience and change the voice of the written work
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to field questions from managers and general public
• Intermediate to expert level Project or Issue Management skills
• Ability to take strategic plans and translate into actionable, tactical communication programs
• Highly-collaborative interpersonal skills: can work effectively in a team environment and maintain composure and quality of work while under deadline
• Entrepreneurial spirit & drive; a sense of humor helps too

Travel
Employee must be able to travel 10% of the time.
