Master Scheduler
Education
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Operations or a related field; or a minimum of six years production scheduling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in production scheduling. Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.
Skills/Experience
- 6+ years’ experience in production scheduling within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with elastomers, valves, water, waste water, or mining is desirable.
- Experience in a fast paced, low volume/high mix manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience utilizing an ERP system. Experience using Epicor is preferred (expert)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals (expert)
- Use of independent judgment to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures (expert)
- Read and interpret Shop drawings/blueprints (expert)
- Technical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes (expert)
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. (expert)
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes and Continuous Improvement (intermediate)
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees (intermediate)
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, margins, markups, percentages, area, circumference and volume (intermediate)
